The study developed an update of the Jupiter Inlet sediment budget including calculation of longshore transport (LST) rate using modern techniques including modeling of local longshore transport (LST) rates using the MIKE Littoral Processes module. Study components included a literature review, field data collection, evaluation of LST and shoreline evolution, and coordination with stakeholders. The study will provide the data necessary for the state of Florida to review the inlet’s sediment budget and potentially adopt the study’s values.
