Taylor Engineer’s Wendy Laurent, P.E. has been appointed to the American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) Board of Directors! ASBPA is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing our coasts by merging science and public policy. They advocate for healthy, sustainable and resilient coastal systems to sustain four inter-connected core values provided by shores and beaches: community protection, a strong economy, ecologic health and recreation.

As a coastal engineer, Wendy manages and provides support for coastal engineering projects. She works on a variety of projects, including beach nourishment, inlet management, sand source investigations, coastal condition characterization, beneficial use of dredged material and regional sediment management, structure-induced sediment scour, wave mechanics and loading, FEMA flood insurance studies, and natural resource economic benefit studies, in addition to public outreach and permitting. Since 2020, Wendy has served as the North Atlantic Regional Lead, expanding Taylor Engineering’s footprint into the Northeast corridor.
