Chris Moss’s career has focused on stormwater analysis with a focus on floodplain management. In addition to his role as head of the Water Resources group, he serves as a senior project manager with modeling experience in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), ArcGISPRO, SWMM, and AdICPR. He has managed and executed numerous flood insurance studies for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and has led FEMA Disaster Response Data Analytics Cell task orders.
He is a professional engineer licensed in Florida, South Carolina, and Texas and a Certified Floodplain Manager. Chris holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering from the University of Kentucky. Chris was part of the Taylor Engineering team from 1998-2012 and rejoined us in 2021.
