The St. Augustine Port, Waterway & Beach District will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Summer Haven River Restoration Project at Taylor Engineering’s offices at 10151 Deerwood Park Blvd., Building 300 Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 until 2:00 p.m., local time, Friday, August 26, 2016, and then at said offices the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Project work generally entails excavation of approximately 275,000 cy of sand that has been deposited in the river following a series of storm-related breaches of the beach and dune complex, placement of the excavated sand back onto the adjacent beach and dune complex, and creation of 6.4 acres of least tern habitat on a spoil island alongside the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project site at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 3, 2016. Questions related to this bid must be received no later than Friday, August 19, 2016. The Contractor may not commence work along the beach and dune complex until November 1, 2016 and must complete all excavation and beach placement activity by April 14, 2017.

A Bid Bond will be required.  Offers providing less than sixty (60) days for District acceptance after the date offers are due will not be considered and will be rejected.
