Sealed bids for the Moonshine Creek Oxbow Restoration Project will be received by the Jupiter Inlet District at its offices at 400 North Delaware Blvd., Jupiter, Florida 33458 until 2:00 p.m., local time, March 2, 2018, and then at said offices publicly opened and read aloud. The work generally consists of placing approximately 647 tons (362 cubic yards) of low-crested limestone, 324 square yards of filter fabric, and 979 cubic yards of dredged fill to create an armored plug within a narrow cut-off channel in the Northwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River. The fill material will come from mechanically dredging 979 cubic yards of sediment from the Northwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River, adjacent to Moonshine Creek. The Contractor will have forty-five (45) calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to complete the work. A Bid Bond will be required. Offers providing less than sixty (60) days for District acceptance after the date offers are due will not be considered and will be rejected. The subject line of the email shall read “Moonshine Creek Oxbow Restoration Project Bid Questions.” All questions must be submitted in writing. Responses to questions will appear as an addendum to the bid documents. Questions received after 6 p.m., local time, February 23, 2018 will go unanswered.
