Careers

The Taylor Engineering staff includes registered engineers, engineer interns, scientists, programmers, GIS (Geographic Information System) analysts, IT (Information Technology) specialists, technical editors, and technical and administrative support personnel. Their educational and professional experience encompasses the disciplines of civil, coastal, environmental, and water resources engineering; environmental sciences; and GIS and computer science applications. Collectively, professional staff members hold advanced degrees in civil, coastal, water resources, and environmental engineering; environmental sciences; and education.

While our backgrounds vary, we work closely and effectively together to solve complex, specialized water resources problems involving Everglades and Louisiana coastal restoration, beach nourishment and coastal structures, water quality, flood protection, and navigation. We value and respect each other as critical parts of a team searching for answers to these problems. We feel we make a difference every day to protect natural resources and to promote a sustainable environment.

We encourage staff involvement in the company’s strategic planning process. Volunteer focus groups composed of staff from all levels have proposed changes, and the company has implemented many of their suggestions. Through this process, we all have the opportunity to contribute, and we feel a sense of ownership in the company’s future.

We take pride in the company’s commitment to the community and the profession through volunteer work, scholarship endowments, and other contributions. In 2006, the company committed $1,000,000 to the University of North Florida to start a not-for-profit research institute to advance water resources engineering and science.
