Community Involvment

Taylor Engineering Commits $1,000,000 to the University of North Florida (UNF) Research

In March 2008, Taylor Engineering contributed $10,000 toward its $100,000 yearly commitment to fund the Taylor Engineering Research Institute at the University of North Florida. Similar contributions will continue through December.

In 2006, to exemplify the company’s values and commitment to technical excellence, Taylor Engineering pledged $1,000,000 to support the institute. A not-for-profit organization, the Research Institute will perpetually fund, through interest and grants, research and development in coastal and water resource engineering and science. The institute provides a vehicle for researchers in industry, government, and academia to advance the understanding of the principles key to these disciplines, as well as to develop the advanced tools necessary to apply this understanding. As a public-private partnership, the Taylor Engineering Research Institute also demonstrates the company’s values in community involvement and its desire to share its success with the community.
